Our Aims:
With a state of the art progressive training and investment policy and total dedication to quality, our modern factory built in 1994 is equipped with the best facilities available. Equipment includes: laser cutters, CNC machining centres, tool and cutter grinders, nc grinders, in house heat treatment, automatic bending machines, laser fusion machine, vibrating and polishing facilities and a wide range of manual grinding and toothing machines. Our quality department has a 3D co-ordinate measuring machine with additional magnification vision system for non contact measurement that can dimension parts extremely accurately. This enables our team of draughtsmen to create drawings form samples quickly on our cad cam system and use offline program with the latest 3D simulation software to reproduce the parts. As well as producing our own drawings we can also receive electronic drawings from customers by e-mail. In keeping with our product oriented manufacturing system our engineers specialise in product types and work closely with their production teams to continually develop manufacturing methods.
Materials and Coating:
Wolstenholme Machine Knives has continually developed our material specifications over the years to ensure we use only the very best material sources throughout Europe and the United States from approved suppliers with full material traceability. We can offer a wide range of coatings including TiN, TiCN, TiALN and chrome based for improved wear resistance, Teflon coating to reduce friction, electrophoresis coating to prevent oxidation. Also available are hard chrome, carbide and molybdenum sprays.
Quality Systems:
We operate an effective quality management system with strict in process controls, meeting and exceeding the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. As part of this standard all of our measuring equipment is regularly calibrated and we maintain traceability of all aspects of knife production. These systems in conjunction with many years of experience of knife production have helped Wolstenholme Machine Knives establish a worldwide reputation for a high quality products.
